Dodgers hit 4 HRs to blast by D-backs

Mookie Betts, Trea Turner and Justin Turner homered in a five-run sixth inning, and the Los Angeles Dodgers outlasted the Arizona Diamondbac­ks 7-6 Tuesday to begin the first doublehead­er ever played by the NL West rivals.

Will Smith also connected early for the Dodgers, whose four homers matched their season high. Betts also doubled and singled, and Freddie Freeman added a key RBI single in the seventh inning of Los Angeles' third straight win.

YANKEES 5, ORIOLES 4 >> Aaron Judge homered twice after his first-inning drive bounced off the new left-field wall at Camden Yards, and the New York Yankees held off the Baltimore Orioles for their 20th win in 23 games. ASTROS 13, RED SOX 4 >> The Astros tied the MLB record for most home runs in an inning, hitting five off Red Sox starter Nathan Eovaldi as part of a nine-run second to help Houston rout Boston.

Yordan Alvarez, Kyle Tucker, Jeremy Peña, Michael Brantley and Yuli Gurriel all went deep for the Astros, who set a franchise mark for most home runs in an inning. It has happened seven other times in league history.

Tucker added his second homer of the night and seventh of the season in the fourth inning – a grand slam off Tyler Danish.

REDS 5, GUARDIANS 4, 10 INNINGS >> Mike Moustakas drew the third straight walk in the 10th inning by Cleveland reliever Nick Sandlin to force in a run, and the Reds hung on for the win. WHITE SOX 3, ROYALS 0, GAME 1 >> Jose Abreu hit a two-run double in a three-run fifth inning, Dylan Cease pitched scoreless ball into the sixth, and Chicago beat Kansas City in the opener of a doublehead­er.

RAYS 8, TIGERS 1 >> Kevin Kiermaier, Kevin Phillips and Randy Arozarena each homered and drove in two runs, Shane McClanahan struck out seven in seven innings and the Tampa Bay Rays beat the Detroit Tigers.

BLUE JAYS 3, MARINERS 0 >> José Berríos and two relievers combined on a six-hitter, George Springer provided all the offense with a basesloade­d triple, as the Toronto Blue Jays beat the Seattle Mariners..

David Phelps worked the eighth and Adam Cimber finished for his third save.

ORIOLES PITCHER HARVEY SUSPENDED FOR DRUG DISTRIBUTI­ON >> Baltimore Orioles pitcher Matt Harvey was suspended for 60 games by Major League Baseball on Tuesday for distributi­ng a prohibited drug of abuse, a punishment stemming from his admission of providing opioids to a teammate who fatally overdosed.

He also admitted in February during a federal trial in Texas stemming from Angels pitcher Tyler Skaggs' death that he used cocaine while in New York and California.
