Dodgers wrap up sweep of D-backs

Justin Turner hit a three-run homer in the fourth inning and the Los Angeles Dodgers rallied past the Arizona Diamondbac­ks 5-3 on Wednesday to complete a four-game sweep at Dodger Stadium.

The Dodgers won their fifth straight overall, finishing off a 5-3 homestand that included eight games in seven days and four within 42 hours. Arizona has lost five in a row. Turner sent a 3-2 pitch from Zach Davies (22) into the lower left-field pavilion putting the Dodgers back in front 4-2 in the fourth inning.

Gavin Lux added a two-out RBI single in the fourth that made it 5-2.

Walker Buehler (5-1) allowed two runs and six hits in five innings. The right-hander struck out four and walked two.

BREWERS 7, BRAVES 6, 11 INNINGS >> Keston Hiura returned to the majors and hit a two-run, winning homer off Jesse Chavez in the 11th as Milwaukee rallied from a four-run deficit to beat visiting Atlanta.

Hiura, called up from Triple-A Nashville earlier in the day, led off the bottom of the 11th by sending a 1-2 sinker from Chavez (01) over the center-field wall. The drive scored automatic runner Jace Peterson.

PHILLIES 3, PADRES 0 >> Zack Wheeler struck out nine over seven innings, Rhys Hoskins homered and host Philadelph­ia beat San Diego.

Wheeler (2-3), who lost his first three starts of the season, allowed four hits and walked none over 94 pitches.

Hoskins helped spoil Blake Snell's first start of the season in his return from a groin injury. RED SOX 5, ASTROS 1 >> Nick Pivetta pitched a two-hitter, Xander Bogaerts hit a solo homer and Boston beat Houston in the rubber match of their three-game series at Fenway Park.

It marked the first complete game by a Red Sox pitcher since Chris Sale on June 5, 2019, at Kansas City. It was the first at Fenway Park since Rick Porcello against the New York Yankees on Aug. 3, 2018.

Pivetta finished with eight strikeouts and didn't issue a walk.

YANKEES 3, ORIOLES 2 >> Gerrit Cole outpitched Jordan Lyles in a duel of veteran right-handers, and visiting New York squeezed past skidding Baltimore to clinch its ninth straight series win.

Gleyber Torres hit an RBI double and scored in a three-run first inning.

Cole (4-0) went seven innings, allowing two runs and six hits with five strikeouts.

RAYS 6, TIGERS 1 >> Isaac Paredes homered twice against his former teammates, helping host Tampa Bay beat Detroit.
