Jackson-Davis leads No. 21 Indiana past No. 1 Purdue

Trayce Jackson-Davis scored 25 points and Jalen Hood-Schifino delivered the clinching basket on a dunk with 2 seconds left as No. 21 Indiana beat No. 1 Purdue 79-74 on Saturday.

Zach Edey finished with 33 points and 18 rebounds for Purdue (22-2, 11-2 Big Ten).

The Hoosiers (16-7, 7-5) have won both of their home games against their archrival under second-year coach Mike Woodson.

NO. 2 TENNESSEE 46, NO. 25 AUBURN 43 >> Josiah-Jordan James scored 15 points to lead Tennessee (19-4, 8-2 Southeaste­rn Conference) past Auburn (17-6, 7-3) in a game in which every point was difficult and nothing flowed. The Volunteers shot just 27% from the field and 9.5% from the 3-point line. They were recovering from a Wednesday loss to Florida in which they shot 28%.

The Tigers managed only 24% from the field and 11% from the 3-point line.

NO. 4 ALABAMA 79, LSU 69 >> Noah Clowney and Rylan Griffen led a balanced scoring attack with 14 points each to carry Alabama (203, 10-0 Southeaste­rn Conference) over LSU (12-11, 1-9), which lost its 10th straight. VIRGINIA TECH 74, NO. 6 VIRGINIA 68 >> Sean Pedulla scored 22 points and Virginia Tech (14-10, 4-8 Atlantic Coast Conference) snapped the Cavaliers' seven-game winning streak. Jayden Gardner's 20 points led Virginia (17-4, 9-3).

NO. 10 TEXAS 69, NO. 7 KANSAS STATE 66 >> Christian Bishop scored all 14 of his points in the second half, including the go-ahead lay-in with 37 seconds to go, and Texas (19-4, 8-2 Big 12) rallied from a 14-point firsthalf deficit to beat Kansas St. (18-5, 6-4).

NO. 13 IOWA STATE 68, NO. 8 KANSAS 53 >> Jaren Holmes scored 15 points for the Cyclones

16-6, 7-3 Big 12) in the win over Kansas. Jalen Wilson led the Jayhawks (18-5, 6-4) with 26 points for his sixth straight with at least 20.

NO. 9 UCLA 76, WASHINGTON ST. 52 >> Jaime Jaquez Jr. had 24 points and a career-high 15 rebounds as the Bruins won their 21st consecutiv­e home game. UCLA (19-4, 10-2 Pac-12) owns the nation's longest active home winning streak, including a 13-0 mark at Pauley Pavilion this season. Washington State (10-15, 5-9) was led by TJ Bamba with 19 points. NO. 11 BAYLOR 89, TEXAS TECH 62 >> Jalen Bridges had 18 points with eight rebounds, big man Jonathan Tchamwa Tchatchoua played for the first time since suffering a gruesome knee injury last season and Baylor (17-6, 6-4 Big 12) beat Texas Tech. De'Vion Harmon had 20 points for Texas Tech (12-11, 1-9).

NO. 14 MARQUETTE 60, BUTLER 52 >> Tyler Kolek had 13 points and eight assists for Marquette (19-5, 11-2 Big East). Jayden Taylor scored 19 points and Simas Lukosius added 15 for Butler (1113, 3-10).

OKLAHOMA STATE 79, NO. 15 TCU 73 >> Kalib Boone scored 25 points and Oklahoma State blew a 19-point

second-half lead before recovering to beat a depleted TCU squad. Caleb Asberry added 19 points and JohnMichae­l Wright had 17 for Oklahoma State (14-9, 5-5 Big 12). Emanuel Miller led TCU (17-6, 6-4) with 17 points.

NO. 16 XAVIER 96, ST. JOHN'S

71 >> Jack Nunge scored 21 points, Colby Jones added 19 and Xavier made a season-high 15 3-pointers to defeat St. John's. Souley Boum added 17 points, Desmond Claude scored 11 and Jerome Hunter 10 for the Musketeers (19-5, 11-2 Big East). The slumping Red Storm (14-10, 4-9) have lost two straight, four of five and nine of 12.

NO. 19 FAU 67, CHARLOTTE 52 >> Vladislav Goldin had 15 points and Florida Atlantic rebounded with a win just two days after the Owls had their 20-game win streak snapped. Alijah Martin added 11 points and Brandon Weatherspo­on had 10 for the Owls (22-2, 12-1 Conference USA). Brice Williams led Charlotte (1310, 4-8) with 14 points.

NO. 23 MIAMI 78, NO. 20 CLEMSON 74 >> Nijel Pack scored 20 points and Isaiah Wong added 15 as Miami used a second-half burst to hold off Clemson. Wong and Pack each hit 3-pointers right after halftime for the Hurricanes (18-5, 9-4 Atlantic Coast Conference), who used a 21-9 run to open a 56-44 lead with 11:10 to play. Clemson (18-6, 10-3) lost its second straight game after opening ACC play 10-1.

NO. 24 UCONN 68, GEORGETOWN 62 >> Adama Sanogo and Tristen Newton each scored 15 and Alex Karaban knocked down two late 3-pointers to give UConn (18-6, 7-6 Big East) a win over last-place Georgetown. (6-18, 1-12).

Women

STANFORD NOW 72-0 VS. WASHINGTON STATE >> Haley Jones had 13 points and nine rebounds and No. 2 Stanford routed Washington State 71-38 on Friday night in Pullman, Wash. for its 72nd straight win over the Cougars.

Cameron Brink added 10 points and eight rebounds to help Stanford (22-2, 10-1 Pac-12) improve to 72-0 against Washington State (15-7, 5-6) all-time.

“They have a great team, they're very talented and we had to play really hard,” Stanford coach Tara VanDerveer said. “The last time we played them was really close and so we knew we had to bring it, and we did.”

Stanford used a 15-player rotation in a game in which the bench contribute­d 37 points. Lauren Betts had 10 points and fellow backup Elena Bosgana added eight for the Cardinal, which plays at Washington today.

Charlisse Leger-Walker led Washington State with eight points as the Cougars shot 14 of 56 from the floor and were held to a season low in points.

“You're just not going to beat Stanford without scoring a lot,” said Washington State coach Kamie Ethridge, whose team hosts Cal today. “We talked about getting to 70. Obviously, we were a long way from 70 tonight.”
