Q: I saw that Natasha Lyonne has a new show on Peacock. Does this mean “Russian Doll” has been canceled? -- Y.B.
A: With so many networks and streaming platforms available now, actors aren’t limited to just one show anymore. Look at Adam Scott, for example. He had major roles on three shows in the past year (“Severance,” “Loot” and the upcoming third season of “Party Down”).
Lyonne has been just as busy since she had a career resurgence playing an inmate on Netflix’s “Orange Is the New Black.” She followed that up with the Emmy-nominated “Russian Doll,” and while a third season is still in limbo, Lyonne has gone on to film another series, “Poker Face.” Hopefully she can juggle both shows if Netflix comes calling again.

Q: My 90-year-old mother’s favorite drama is “Chicago Med.” She especially loves the handsome actor who plays Dr. Marcel. Can you tell us what else he’s been in? -- A.K.
A: Dominic Rains plays Dr. Crockett Marcel on the hit series “Chicago Med,” which airs on NBC on Wednesday nights at 8 p.m. ET. (It’s part of what’s billed as the One Chicago lineup, followed by “Chicago Fire” at 9 p.m. and “Chicago P.D.” at 10 p.m.) He joined the ensemble cast as the trauma surgeon in its fifth season. Rains, 40, was born in Tehran, Iran, but grew up in a Dallas suburb called The Colony. His first role on camera was in the TV movie “Saving Jessica Lynch.” He went on to play Dr. Leo Julian on the daytime soap “General Hospital” as well as its spin-off “General Hospital: Night Shift.” He’s had a slew of primetime guest-star appearances on shows like “NCIS” and “24” before landing a recurring role as a character named Kasius on “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” Rains was born Amin Nazemzadeh, but didn’t change his name until he got the role on “GH.” His brother, Ethan, got him into acting in the first place, and the two both had roles on the short-lived Heather Locklear series “LAX.”
