Tyrese Maxey scored 24 points, and Cam Payne added 16 points off the bench and the host Philadelphia 76ers beat Cleveland 104-97 Friday night, sending the Cavaliers to their second straight loss and third in four games.

Payne, acquired from Milwaukee at the trade deadline, saw extended minutes and was a difference-maker, especially in the first half. He shot 6 for 11, making four 3-pointers in 20 minutes, and helped Philadelphia build its largest lead — 11 points — in the third quarter.

Tobias Harris added 15 points and nine rebounds, and Heild finished with 13 points.

Jarrett Allen had 24 points and Darius Garland added 20 points and nine assists for the Cavaliers, who had their six-game road winning streak halted. Cleveland was missing leading scorer and All-Star Donovan Mitchell, sidelined with an unspecified illness.

HEAT 106, PELICANS 95 >> Miami's Jimmy Butler was among four players ejected after a scuffle early in the fourth quarter in visiting Heat's win over New Orleans. Heat reserve Thomas Bryant and two Pelicans — Jose Alvarado and Naji Marshall, also were ejected after fisticuffs erupted with 11:19 left and Miami leading 84-81.

The scuffle began after Pelicans star forward Zion Williamson stole the ball from Butler, and Kevin Love grabbed Williamson to prevent an uncontested layup.

As Love was whistled for a foul, Williamson fell to the court and Marshall rushed in to object to the way Williamson was fouled.

Butler engaged Marshall and they briefly grabbed each other by the neck as teammates and coaches animatedly swarmed around them.

After it appeared that officials had managed to separate the teams, Bryant and Alvarado began bickering near the scorers' table and exchanged blows as a new scrum formed around them.

Bam Adebayo led the Heat with 24 points, Butler had 23. Williamson scored 23 for the Pelicans.

RAPTORS 123, HAWKS 121 >> Immanuel Quickley hit six 3-pointers and scored 24 points to help visiting Toronto win for the second straight game since the All-Star break. Scottie Barnes added 20 points and 10 assists for the Raptors. Jacob Poeltl had 12 points, 13 rebounds and six assists.

Dejounte Murray led Atlanta with 24 points. De'Andre Hunter added 22 points. Hawks All-Star Trae Young was held to 11 points on 4-for-13 shooting.

BULLS' WILLIAMS TO HAVE SEASON-ENDING SURGERY >> Chicago Bulls forward Patrick Williams will have season-ending surgery on his left foot, the team said Friday. Williams has been sidelined since Jan. 25 with what was initially diagnosed as acute bone edema. Subsequent imaging revealed a stress reaction.

Williams averaged 10 points and 3.9 rebounds in 43 games this season.
