Leland P. Trought, 77, of Royersford, passed away Sunday June 16, 2013. He was the beloved husband of Shirley A. (Jones) Trought to whom he was married to for over 53 years.

Born June 21, 1935 in Trenton, NJ, he was the son of the late Leland Holmes Trought and Ruth (Gennett) Trought.

Lee served his country in the United States Marine Corps for over twenty years, serving as a supply chief, being stationed at bases on the East coast and Okinawa and Japan. He was a long time member of Lower Skippack Mennonite Church serving as a trustee and many other roles in the past.

Lee was a member of the Marine Corps League, and was a Mason with the Warren, Lodge 310 F & A.M. He was an avid fisherman and sports fan.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his daughters, Lori Farrell and her husband James of Pottstown, and Lisa Johns and her husband James of Phoenixvil­le, and his four grandchild­ren Courtney, Cameron, Chloe and Chase.

He was predecease­d by his Siblings, Harry Trought and Dorothy Hogan.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at 11 a.m. on Thursday June 20, 2013 at the Lower Skippack Mennonite Church, 892 Evansburg Rd., Skippack, PA, 19474, where friends may call from 9:30- 10:45.

In lieu of flowers contributi­ons may be made in his memory to the Lower Skippack Mennonite Church at P.O. Box 202, Skippack, PA 19474.
