Robert R. Loomis, 88, of North Coventry

Robert R. Loomis, 88, husband of Miriam V. (Moore) Loomis, of North Coventry, passed away on Friday morning, June 5, 2015, in his residence. Born on the family farm in East Nantmeal, he was a son of the late Deborah (Smith) and Davis Loomis.

Mr. Loomis was employed for 38 years by Texas Eastern Pipeline, retiring as a pipeline supervisor. He had a love of farming, having farmed until he was 85 years old. Robert loved to help others, socialize, and was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a member of Nantmeal United Methodist Church and was a former Roadmaster for East Nantmeal Township.

In addition to his loving wife of 68 years, Mr. Loomis is survived by his children, Deborah, wife of Bruce Werner, of Rochester, NY, Edna Lee, wife of Andrew Burkle, of Cleveland, OH, Shirley, wife of Jonathan Bodanza, of Sinking Spring, Tim, husband of Kathleen Loomis, of Glenmoore, and Scott, husband of Beth Loomis, of Boyertown; siblings, Lulu Woodland, of Honeybrook and Davis Loomis, of Elverson; 15 grandchildren; 17 greatgrandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Rose Ann “Rosie” Bodanza.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Wednesday, June 10, 2015, at 11 a.m. at the Nantmeal United Methodist Church, 359 Nantmeal Road, Glenmoore, PA. Officiating will be Rev. Sharon Paul and Rev. Eric D. Ressler. Interment will follow in the Church cemetery. Friends will be received from 6:30-8 p.m. Tuesday evening, June 9, at the Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford.
