Ellis Lehman, 61, was born March 5, 1954 in Massillon, Ohio but lived most of his life in Navarre, Ohio and the last three years in Phoenix, Ariz. where he died on June 4, 2015 after a short bout with cancer. He was surrounded by friends and family.

Ellis is survived by his exwife, Sandra Lehman, of Phoenix, Ariz., with whom he lived; his daughters, Rosy Lehman (Jim Klugman), of Phoenix, Ariz., Abbey Lehman (Byron Moss) of Cleveland, Ohio; and his only grandchild, Rembrandt Michael Moss (Remy), of Cleveland, Ohio.

Ellis had many interests and passions throughout his life. He was an accomplish­ed photograph­er, winning many awards for his photos of cars, trucks and barns. Ellis was also a car aficionado loving British sports cars and having owned several MGs and Triumphs.

A highlight for Ellis was being granted a U.S. Patent for reclaiming lead from shooting berms at gun clubs. He was invited to Washington, D.C. to give speeches to the U.S. Department of Energy and the Environmen­tal Protection Agency regarding uses of his pioneering patent.

Ellis maintained friendship­s with his co-workers at the Berkshire Company and in every company with which he worked. He always tried to be a good role model for his younger co-workers, assisting them whenever he could so they could excel in their jobs.

Ellis will be missed by many friends and family.

The family also wish to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Banner Hospice and especially those who worked closely with the family, including Dr. Rene Beckham, Sherry Weiss RN, Amee RN, Julie RN, Gloria RN and Toni, Home Health Aide.

A memorial service will be held June 9, 2015 at 10 a.m. at the Samaritan Funeral Home located at 1505 E. McDowell Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85006. A repast will be held immediatel­y after the service at 107 W. Portland St., Unit 214A, Phoenix, AZ 85003.
