Joan A. (Adams) Reitz, 74, of Pottstown

Joan A. (Adams) Reitz, 74, of Pottstown, wife of James H. Reitz, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2017 at her residence.

She was born in Buffalo, NY.

Joan was the Administrator of the Operations Department of Nutritional Development Services an agency of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia for over twenty five years.

She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Pottstown where she was a member of the chancel choir.

Surviving besides her husband are two daughters, Elaine wife of James J. Rittwage, Pottstown, Lisa wife of Zenas E. Savage, Pottstown; two sisters, Elaine wife of Martin Schneckenberger Sr., Mill Valley, CA, Gail wife of Robert Sutz, Orlando, FL; four grandchildren, Amanda wife of Kyle Dempsey, Connor Rittwage and his wife Mariah, Zenas Michael Savage, Laura Savage; two great grandchildren, Bryce Dempsey, Charlotte Dempsey; two nephews, Martin L. Schneckenberger Jr. & family, Jeffrey Schneckenberger & family; two nieces Jennifer Baumer, and Kimberly Leneghan & family.

A memorial service will be held 10:30 A.M.on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Hanover & Walnut Streets, Pottstown. Officiating will be Reverend Phillip Waselik, Rev. Burlington Latshaw, III, and Deacon Rachel Bailey. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends Saturday from 9:00 to 10:30 A.M. at the church.
