Pottstown: Open-hearth cooking demonstrations with the program “We Breakfast Deliciously” will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday at historic Pottsgrove Manor, 100 W. King St. Before they could “rise and shine” and get about their daily tasks, the Potts family would have enjoyed a tasty breakfast. Pottsgrove Manor’s cooks will prepare typical fare for an 18th century morning. There is a suggested donation of $2 per person. For more information call 610-326-4014.
Royersford: A family fun scavenger hunt will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, weather permitting, at Upper Schuylkill Valley Park, Route 113. Visitors will learn fun and interesting facts about springtime while visiting the resident animals at the park on their search to find all of the items in the hunt. This program is for all ages. There is a $2 per person suggested donation. Visitors can go at their own pace during the allotted time. For more information call 610-948-5170.
Phoenixville: A day of free dentistry for veterans who cannot afford dental care will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 1, at Reardon Dental, 1096 W. Bridge Street. Reardon Dental is partnering with Brandywine Dental Implant and Oral Maxillofacial Surgery to provide this service. Choose one of the following services: dental cleaning, filling, routine extraction. Boyertown: “Glass Fusion–Spring Suncatcher” instruction by Dolores Kirschner, director of Clay on Main, Oley, will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Monday, April 3, at Boyertown Area Multi-Service Inc., The Center at Spring Street, 200 West Spring St. It is open to ages 5 years and older. Bring a friend and create a beautiful glass suncatcher. Your creations will be fired and returned to The Center for pick-up. Children 5 years and older accompanied by an adult are welcome to participate. The cost of the workshop is covered in part by a grant from Berks County Arts Fund of the Berks Community Foundation and underwritten in part by Clay on Main. Donations to help cover the cost of materials will be greatly appreciated. Call The Center at 610-367-2313 to make a reservation. Space is limited to 30 participants.
