James E. Muldoon Jr., 85
James E. Muldoon Jr., 85, widower of Rosemary (Woods), formerly of Perkiomenville, PA passed away on Friday, March 17, 2017 in the Armed Forces Retirement Home, Gulfport, Mississippi.
Born in Philadelphia, PA he was the son of the late Eleanor (Colaizzi) and James E. Muldoon Sr.
He was a US Navy Chief for 23 years retiring in 1972. He also worked for St. Gabriel’s Hall, Valley Forge; the Philadelphia Catholic Archdiocese as a counselor and for the Physical Therapy Forum Newspaper, King of Prussia.
He was a member of Sir Stogies, Gilbertsville, Fitness Serenity Junction, Boyertown and the VFW.
James is survived by four daughters, Linda Muldoon of Bull Nose, Arizona; Peggy, widow of Kenneth Zesotarski of Pottstown; Nancy Muldoon of Philadelphia and Mona, wife of Raymond Bruce Hanley of Sassamansville; a brother Joseph, widow of Betty Muldoon of Swedesburg; a sister, Kathleen, wife of Benjamin Evans of Philadelphia; ten grandchildren and eleven greatgrandchildren. He was predeceased by two sisters, Mary Potter and Eleanor Cooper.
A Memorial Mass will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at St. Columbkill Roman Catholic Church, 200 Indian Spring Road, Boyertown.
Inurnment will be in Limerick Garden of Memories.
In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in name to the ALS Association, Greater Philadelphia Chapter, 321 Norristown Road, #260, Ambler, PA 19002.
