John J. DiGiacomo III, 71, husband of Margaret “Bunny” (Yednock) died on Friday, April 7, at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center after a brave fight with cancer.

He was born in Phoenixvil­le to the late John DiGiacomo Jr. and the late Angeline (Sciallo) DiGiacomo. He graduated from Bishop Kendrick High School in 1963, and served our country honorably for the United States Marine Corps. Living in Royersford since 1972, John was always a hard worker. He was employed for many years as a buyer in the pharmaceut­ical industry until his retirement, when he started working part time at Kohl’s. John was an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He enjoyed cycling, running, family barbecues and staying abreast of political news and happenings.

In addition to his wife “Bunny,” he is survived by his three children; sons, John R. DiGiacomo, of Royersford, Thomas D. DiGiacomo, of Fruitville, and Joseph M. DiGiacomo, of Hoboken, N.J.; two sisters, Barbara Jean, wife of Walt, of Phoenixvil­le, Phyllis, wife of Russell, of Tennessee; and a brother, Robert “Bob”, husband of the late Shirley DiGiacomo, of Phoenixvil­le. He will be greatly missed.

Friends and family are invited to attend his funeral mass on Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at 11 a.m., at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 838 Walnut St., Royersford, PA 19468, with the Rev. Peter J. DiMaria officiatin­g. Visitation and viewing will be held at the church from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Interment will be held at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Fillmore St., Phoenixvil­le, immediatel­y following the mass.
