Marion Beahm Gehman, 87, of Boyertown

Marion Beahm Gehman, 87, of Boyertown, passed away April 11, 2017, in Genesis Berkshire Health & Rehabilitation Center.

She was married to Edwin Gehman who died August 21, 1985.

In her later years, she spent her time with Vincent Caristia. Vincent passed away November 6, 2013.

Born in Amityville, she was the daughter of the late Albert H. and Etta L. (McCoy) Beahm.

Marion worked as a bookkeeper and ran the retail store for the family’s bakery business, Beahm’s Bakery, West Lawn. She was also a member of the Amityville CB Club. Marion was the past president of Unit 471 American Legion Auxiliary Boyertown and the Treasurer of Berks County Council of American Legion Auxiliaries.

Marion is survived by her youngest brother, David Beahm and his family, Sinking Spring, and many nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her siblings: Frederick Shirey, George Shirey, Mary Wenrich, Cathrine Pusch, Emma Ellis, Robert Shirey, and William Shirey.

Services will be held Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at 11 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. Burial will follow in Laureldale Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 237 Court Street, Reading, PA 19601.
