Glenn becomes third player in OJR history to reach 100 hits

Owen J. Roberts’ Camryn Glenn became the third Wildcat in school history to reach the 100-hit mark in the team’s 15-0 victory over Upper Merion.

Glenn went 1-for-3 with two runs scored and an RBI and collected her 100th hit with a sharply-hit single on a 1-0 count in the third inning. She joins Sam Garritano (Class of 2015; 122 hits) and Megan Hodgson (Class of 2010, 101 hits) as the only members in program history to achieve the feat.

“It feels really good to know that all the hard work you put in and all the time you spend trying to make your swing the best it can be really pays off,” Glenn said. “And now I just have to work towards my 101st hit and my 105th, etc. I’m really grateful for my teammates and coaches for the opportunit­ies I’ve been given.”

Casey Walker went 2-for-3 with a double, two runs scored and four RBIs for the Wildcats, who scored 11 runs in the second and third inning before ending the game in the bottom of the fourth. Brianna Smith had two doubles and three RBIs with Brittney Dellaquila adding three hits (double) and an RBI. Bridget Guinan had a triple to go along with her two runs scored.

Dellaquila got the win in the circle, allowing one hit in her four innings of work. UPPER PERKIOMEN 13, NORRISTOWN 3 » Sarah Heidler, Alexa Banner, Taylor Lindsay, Morgan Lindsay and Alyssa Sullivan each had two hits as the Indians pounded out 16 hits in a 10-run victory over the visiting Eagles.

Heidler added two RBIs and a home run in the victory, with Sullivan adding an additional two RBIs for the Indians, who scored nine runs in the first two innings. Morgan Lindsay added three RBIs and two runs scored.

Emily Moll got the win in the circle, allowing six hits and one earned while striking out five in six innings of work. PERKIOMEN VALLEY 6, POPE JOHN PAUL II 1 » Abby Wild tossed a complete game, fanning 15 while allowing three hits in seven innings of work as the Vikings downed the Golden Panthers in cross-divisional play.

Alex Vullings, Sela Fusco and Ashley Bangert all had two hits with Bangert adding three RBI in the victory.

Ashley Remmington got the loss in the circle. She struck out six in her seven innings of work. BOYERTOWN 11, PHOENIXVIL­LE 3 » The Bears came back from a 3-2 deficit with nine runs in the bottom half of the fifth and sixth innings to come away with a win over the Phantoms in a cross-divisional contest.

Taylor Garcia swung the hot bat for Boyertown, going 3-for-3 with three runs scored and three RBIs in the victory. Alyssa Acker added two RBIs, along with Kody Streeter, who went 2-for-4 with two runs scored. Sarah Reinert added a 2-for-2 effort with three runs scored.

Jess Anthony went 3-for-3 from the dish for Phoenixvil­le, which couldn’t overcome a five-error performanc­e. METHACTON 22, POTTSTOWN 3» The Warriors scored 18 runs after the third inning to down the Trojans in PAC play. DANIEL BOONE 14, TWIN VALLEY 10 » Daniel Boone sent the Raiders to their second consecutiv­e loss with a big win in Berks Section 1 play.

Jarrod Marenger led the charge with two goals and five assists while Tate Pijanowski netted a hat trick in the win. Ryan Rosenblum, Danny Cassidy and Drew Giovinco each had a goal and an assist while Kyle Pettine finished with 12 stops in goal. Skylar Wallace scored Boyertown’s lone goal during the second quarter. Kyle Derrickson, Kyle Kacala (assist), Stanley Kolimago and Connor McHugh were credited with goals for Methacton while Jack Pellegrino had an assist. POTTSTOWN 17, POTTSGROVE 15» Ebony Reddick scored eight goals and added an assist to lead the Trojans to a PAC win over Brooke Saylor, Emily Williams and the Falcons.

Saylor paced Pottsgrove with seven goals and two assists while Williams scored six goals. Behind Reddick, Emily Iezzi (two assists) and Emme Wolfel each notched hat tricks while Da’zah Regusters scored twice. Reilly Owens came up with 12 saves in the win. PHOENIXVIL­LE 3, BOYERTOWN 2 » Kevin Cushing hit an RBI double in the bottom of the third inning to break a 2-2 tie as the Phantoms put the clamps down on a PAC win over the Bears.

Cushing finished 2-for-3 with three RBI while Nick Opalkowski and Luke LeBeau each finished with a hit and a run scored. Zach Masalski picked up the win, giving way to two runs on three hits in five innings. Anthony Rota and Noah Kurtz posted RBI for Boyertown. PERKIOMEN VALLEY 2, POPE JOHN PAUL II 0 » The Vikings’ Tyler Strechay got the better of Ryan Schwab and the Golden Panthers en route to a PAC win.

Strechay limited PJP to just four hits over a complete-game shutout, helping himself with four strikeouts and just one walk. Schwab was strong, but done in by two runs (one earned) on four hits and a walk. DJ Jampo finished 2-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI while Mark Ott had a hit and a run scored. Christian Wagner had two hits for PJP. METHACTON 10, POTTSTOWN 2 » The Warriors claimed their fifth straight win with a PAC win over the Trojans.

Demetrio Rodriguez finished with three runs scored and two RBIs while Patrick O’Neill finished with a double and three runs scored. Nick Wheeler had a triple and two RBIs while Jake Morello earned the win tossing five innings. Josh Gery had two hits for Pottstown. UPPER PERKIOMEN 15, NORRISTOWN 2 » Nolan Graber did a bit of everything during the Tribe’s PAC win over the Eagles.

Graber was 4-for-5 at the plate with a double, two runs scored and four RBI. He also picked up the win on the mound, pitching six complete innings with eight strikeouts. Lance Templeton was 3-for-4 with three runs scored and an RBI while Macauley Swenk had two hits and scored four times. SPRING-FORD 15, POTTSGROVE 0 » The Rams racked up 14 hits and 13 RBI en route to a four-inning PAC rout of the Falcons.

Conor Larkin finished 3-for-3 with two runs scored and a pair of RBI while Jake Kelchner hit 2-for-2 with a double, two runs scored and two RBI out of the leadoff spot. Ryne Moore picked up the win on the mound, giving way to just two hits in four complete innings. OWEN J. Zach Brightbill picked up the complete game win allowing five hits and three earned runs to go along with five strikeouts and no walks. Connor Cleaver finished 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI while Brendan Rivoli had a double and a run scored.
