Lets everybody knock it off about this election stuff, it’s over. Trump is the president. Stand behind the man. He’s trying to do everything to correct all the mess that’s been in there for years. Back up your president and stop griping.

Look at the bullying they say about the schools, that’s what the Democrats are doing to Trump. Some of them are a disgrace. They’re not good examples for kids. Sore losers. Give it up. Go for Trump.

My suggestion to Lower Pottsgrove Commissioners is not to spend over $27,000 for a new 2017 Ford Explorer for the code enforcement division. Instead use that money to help the code enforcement department enforce Lower Pottsgrove codes and ordinances.

This is a shout-out to Bill Krause, Mr. Pottstown as he’s called. Bill, is there anything we can do with Pottstown? I knew you were involved back in the good old days and I know your heart must drop when you go through Pottstown. Is there anything we can do to bring the town back? I know the loss of all the historic buildings is something that we can’t ever bring back but do you have any suggestions Bill and, by the way, how about running for mayor?

Channel 6 news had DIRECTV charging their customers a regional sports fee and they weren’t supposed to. Now they have to give everyone a refund for that cost. Comcast charges a regional sports fee so who’s pocketing our money? I think Comcast deserves to give everyone a refund for making us pay that. We don’t really have to and it shouldn’t be on the bill.

They were just talking about the Democratic Convention in Philadelphia and how much money they expected to make out of that convention but they were thousands and thousands and thousands of dollars under what the estimate was. They say when the Republicans were there they made all kinds of money so I guess you can see who they want to spend their money. They want to spend our money and not the Democrats’ money.

This is about the tax plan we just got. I see the millionaires and billionaires are going to make out like bandits and now the poor they’re not getting any tax break at all. And for the health care bill, you seniors ought to pack your bags and head north because they’re going to stick it to you especially the ones 65 and above. Get ready for it.

Hey Republicans how do you like being in control with the House, Senate and president but you still can’t get anything done? Donald Trump is still blaming the stalling of the health care on the Democrats. Thought he was going to replace Obamacare on his first day in office without the help of Democrats. He has not passed one bill except his executive orders. However Obama did get his health care. DP

Bullying used to mean having a knife drawn on you. Today it is being hit with a Nerf ball except in Louisiana where the State Education Board has beaten back attempts to eliminate dodgeball — two activities do more to cultivate competitive skills abhorred by the “quality of outcomes” crowd but necessary in adult life. Thank you Sound Off callers in support of Upper, Lower and West Pottsgrove commissioners to uphold our laws and ordinances. We need help with unlicensed, non-operating vehicles and unsightly, unruly, unkept properties in our townships that are turning into many scrap yards. Property values will continue to go down, assessments down, equals lower tax base. We all lose. Homeowners please take pride in your property, your ownership and your community. NH

Thank you Byron York for your commentary on “Trump’s first 100 days” on Thursday. It is so good to hear good news about President Trump. He is trying very hard to fulfill promises. It all can’t be done within such a short amount of time. I am behind our president. I do not understand why so many Americans are down on him and won’t give him a chance.

In the past there was a lot of stuff in the papers about Trump University and how crooked it was and it was covered extensively. How come I haven’t seen one thing about Bernie Sanders’ wife, Jane O’Meara Sanders, and Burlington College which she did a few crooked things in getting loans and then let the college default? So when are you guys going to cover that?

It’s nice to see that there’s an incentive for home ownership with the Pottstown School District employees. Now it would be great if the superintendent and the principals would all move across the street from the middle school and see how they like living there.
