So I open The Mercury and I see in there we’re giving free bicycles away. Then I open The Mercury and I see we’re giving free swim goggles away, also free meals for the children. What about the food stamps and the food assistant programs that the parents get? I’d like to see some people take responsibility and feed their own children, not feed them from somebody else’s pocket.
It’s time for Channel 68, MTV and VH1 to stop with all these reality shows and go back to the music videos that they used to be about. Reality shows, not everyone cares about. Music was the best thing that those two channels ever had. Get the rock ‘n’ roll videos back so the older generation can enjoy seeing music videos again.

A lot of people call in about the roads in Pottstown and I’d just like to add to it. Boy these roads are awful. You can’t keep your car aligned and these roads have been in bad shape for years and they just keep getting worse. Is there anything that we have good for us at all in this town anymore? Not even decent roads.
Hey Martha, we know you are a diehard Republican but have you ever asked yourself why Donald Trump’s approval rating is around 36 percent and dropping? Shouldn’t that be a red flag that clearly shows he is unfit for the job? Are you going to be there for him when the impeachment process begins? Will you and the 36 percent rebel at his impeachment? Truth be known, comedians like Kathy Griffin and Snoop Dog should all find new careers because theirs went out of date 20 years ago and their followers now are a bunch of airheads. Instead of trying to start their careers over by being a sensational Trump basher on TV they found out it wasn’t Trump who killed their careers but their own annihilation of jokes.
To Phoenix Mom, I never said Trump was shown respect by President Obama. Obama and Clinton are behind the divide in our country. I guess you missed the meeting with Saudi leaders and in Israel but then I would guess you agree with Obama’s Iran deal handing them tons of money while they are chanting “Death to America.” What are you watching? The government wants to make a big huge deal out of this Russian investigation. Well where’s the big deal with all these famous stars seeing how they want to do this and do that to the president and to the White House — Madonna, Griffin, bow wow Snoop Dog. Not one thing is done to them. Now why isn’t the FBI, the government investigating why Dennis Rodman is so close with North Korea? Maybe we need to start shifting focus.
To Clark S. Kent, first, there is no limit to Mark Furlong’s library of factual knowledge. He has not and does not comment unilaterally as you suggested. Secondly, Mrs. Obama’s school food program was a disaster. It is well known that children around the nation not having a choice dump their meal in the garbage. While we all know I did not support President Obama’s policies I did not protest, riot, pilfer, cry or throw tantrums. As an American, I respect the office of the presidency.

To take away the only means we have to protect ourselves. The police do a marvellous job but a three to five to 10 minute response time is not going to save your life. Who will protect you in the three to 10 minutes it takes the police to respond?
