SALT Performing Arts presents Ludwig’s comedy ‘Lend Me a Tenor’
SALT Performing Arts presents the Tony award winning show “Lend Me a Tenor,” winner of 3 Tony Awards and 4 Drama Desk Awards, along with a catered dinner provided by Limoncello Restaurant now through June 25.
Written by Ken Ludwig and set in the 1930s, “Lend Me a Tenor” is a madcap screwball comedy that takes place when Tito Merelli, the fiery-tempered and world famous Italian superstar, arrives in Cleveland, Ohio to make his debut with the local opera and promptly goes missing. As Saunders, the show’s presenter, conspires to cover for Tito’s absence, placate his hot-blooded wife, and distract his most passionate fans, chaos on a truly operatic level ensues.
Patrons will enjoy this production while dining on a meal catered by Limoncello Restaurant, included in the $40 ticket price. Menu includes items such as Insalata Caesar, Rigatoni all Vodka and homemade tiramisu. A cash bar will be on site.
