Bruce R. Jones, 69, of Royersford
Bruce R. Jones, 69, husband of Patricia A. (Rolle) Jones, of Royersford, died Saturday, June 24, 2017 at home. Born on Nov. 18, 1947 in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Ralph and Mildred (Marvel) Jones.
Bruce was a graduate of Neshaminy High School. He received his associates degree in architectural design and building construction from Temple University and had helped draft and engineer a building in New York City.
Bruce served in the United States Army Reserves.
He worked in sales for Johnson Controls. He enjoyed working with his hands, building things and tinkering. He loved his Corvette, reading the newspaper and the Philadelphia Eagles. During Monday Night Football, he would look forward to poker with friends. Along with his wife, he liked to take cruises and travel out west, planning the trip with paper maps. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and most importantly, loved spending time with his grandchildren, who affectionately called him Pop Pop.
In addition to his wife of 41 years, Bruce is survived by two daughters, Christina M. (Jones), wife of Nicholas S. Gregson, of Elgin, Okla. and Kimberly A. (Jones), wife of Timothy J. Leancu of Fredericksburg, Va.; three siblings, Alan Jones, of Kennett Square, Cynthia (Jones), wife of Donald Hartman, of Ellington, Conn., and Merrilee (Jones), wife of Jeff Latterell of Exton; five grandchildren, Mackenzie, Landon, Dylan Gregson and Caden and Aaron Leancu.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral ceremony at the Cattermole - Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington St., Royersford, PA on Friday, June 30, 2017 at 11 a.m. Burial will be held in the Fernwood Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday evening, June 29 from 6 - 8:00 p.m., or on Friday morning from 10 11 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to a favorite charity of your choice.
