Looks like two of the area’s best will be teaming up yet again this summer.

The Atlantic Collegiate Baseball League (ACBL) released its 2017 All-Stars earlier this past week and among the selections are two members of the Lehigh University baseball team including Pope John Paul II graduate James Bleming, of the league-leading Allentown Railers, as well as Perkiomen School grad Levi Stoudt, of the Quakertown Blazers.

Both Bleming and Stoudt were named to the Wolff Division’s All-Star Team, which will face off against the Kaiser Division AllStars on Monday, July 17 at 7 p.m. at Memorial Park in Quakertown, PA.

Bleming is coming off a stellar junior season in the outfield with Lehigh. He hit .268 on the season with nine doubles, a pair of triples and four home runs to help Lehigh lock up a fourth straight trip to the Patriot League Tournament. He also had 21 runsbatted-in to go along with 35 runs scored while drawing a team-high 23 walks.

So far this summer, he’s hitting .258 with six home runs, 22 RBI and 14 runs scored.

Bleming was also named to the Patriot League Baseball Academic Honor Roll for the third straight season as he boasts a teamhigh 3.70 grade point average.

Stoudt put together an equally strong 2017 campaign on the hill in his freshman season. He boasted a 4-5 record with a 2.34 earned-run average with three complete game efforts on his way to earning All-American Freshman honors. Stoudt pitched 612/3 innings while allowing just 24 runs (16 earned) along with 45 strikeout against 22 walks.

This summer, Stoudt has a 4.56 ERA with a 1-2 record in 23-2/3 innings pitched.

The purpose of the ACBL is to “provide college baseball players with an opportunity to improve themselves and gain the kind of exposure necessary to continue onto a career in professional baseball,” according to the league’s website.

Also among the selections was Downingtown West graduate JohnPaul Bell. The soon-to-be junior at Bucknell University is hitting .329 with 10 stolen bases, 12 RBI and two homers.
