Road restrictions set for Friday
PENNSBURG » PennDOT has announced that lane restrictions are scheduled on Route 29 beginning Friday.
Lane restrictions with flagging are scheduled on Route 29 (Main Street) between 7th Street and 10th Street in Pennsburg Borough on Friday, July 21, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Saturday, July 22, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., as part of a project to repair and resurface 24 miles of state highway in Montgomery County, PennDOT announced.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work zone because slowdowns will occur. The contractor’s schedule is dependent on the weather.
State highways completed under this resurfacing project include:
• Route 29 (Bridge Street) between U.S. 422 and Tow Path Road in Upper Providence Township;
• Bethlehem Pike between Montgomery Avenue and Pennsylvania Avenue in Upper Dublin Township;
• Bethlehem Pike between Pennsylvania Avenue and Fort Hill Drive in Whitemarsh Township;
• Route 663 (Layfield Road) between Hill Road and Route 29 (Main Street) in New Hanover and Upper Hanover townships and Pennsburg Borough;
• Audubon Road between Pawlings Road and Route 363 (Trooper Road) in Lower Providence Township;
• U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue) between Church Road and U.S. 1 (City Avenue) in Lower Merion Township;
• King Street between Route 100 (Pottstown Pike) and Manatawny Street in Pottstown Borough; and
• Hartman Road between Route 309 (Bethlehem Pike) and Route 463 (Horsham Road) in Montgomery Township.
