Rose I. (Geczi) Tanay, 91, of Phoenixville

Rose I. (Geczi) Tanay, 91, wife of the late Joseph Tanay, of Phoenixville, PA, died on Saturday, July 15, 2017 in Seasons Hospice.

Born on June 12, 1926 in New York, NY, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Esther (Gyulai) Geczi.

She worked as a Supervisor of Admissions at Phoenixville Hospital for 25 years.

She was a member of St. Basil the Great Catholic Church where she was a greeter, and member of the Golden Greats and the Women’s Club. She was also a Poll Worker in Schuylkill Township for many years.

Surviving are, daughter, Irene wife of William Keller of East Coventry, PA, son, Robert Tanay husband of Mauree Kai of East Coventry, PA, grandchildren, Kristen wife of Owen Geiger, Austin Tanay, great-grandchildren, Jackson Geiger, Jillian Geiger, and sister, Olga Simon of Egg Harbor, NJ.

She was preceded in death by daughter, Elizabeth Tanay, and sister, Yolanda Pal.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass in St. Basil The Great Catholic Church, 2340 Kimberton Road, Phoenixville, PA, on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at 11:00 am.

Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Phoenixville, PA.

A viewing will be held in church on Thursday morning from 9:30 am to 10:45 am.
