Jory G. Schwoyer, 64, of Pottstown

Jory G. Schwoyer, 64, of Pottstown, Lower Pottsgrove Township, husband of Dorothy (Peroni) Schwoyer, passed away on Monday, September 4, 2017 at the University Of Pennsylvania Hospital.

Born in Pottstown, he was the son of the late Grier F. and Miriam (Lebo) Schwoyer. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Gregg Schwoyer.

Surviving with his wife are sons Gregory West of Birdsboro, husband of Teresa, and Drew Schwoyer of North Coventry, husband of Desiree; sister, Denise Strunk, wife of Jay and the Loves of his life, Grandchildren Amber and Jessica West and Annison, Raylyn and Colton Schwoyer.

Jory was a 1970 Graduate of Pottstown HS and a 1972 valedictorian graduate of Spring Garden College. He was the former owner and partner of Northeast Building Systems, where his expertise was the manufacturing of roof, wall, and floor trusses.

He enjoyed following his sons and grandchildren in their sports, hobbies and everyday care. He had a love for reading world and local current events, time at his shore property with family and friends, morning walks to bakeries, afternoon beach time, home improvement projects, holidays at his home, and corvettes. Jory had a huge sense of humor and generosity.

A Funeral service will be Friday, Sept. 8, 11:00 AM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center Inc., 711 N. Franklin Street, Pottstown. Burial will follow in St. Aloysius New Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 6 PM to 8 PM and on Friday from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the funeral home.
