How disrespectful on Sunday with the pro football players not standing and putting their hands over there heart for the national anthem. That is deplorable and I agree with President Trump 100 percent. Get rid of them if they will not stand for the anthem, get rid of them.

This message is for the uninformed. When a teachers union gets a 4 percent raise that 4 percent is spread out over all the teachers in that district and their years of service. Meaning, a teacher might get a percentage raise perhaps 1/8 of a percent that might equal $1. Just an FYI for the uninformed.

I can’t begin to tell you how disgusted I am with these people not standing and saluting the flag and the anthem. How disrespectful. They are disgusting. I would not pay a dime right now to go to any of their sports games. If they want to act like this then leave this country.

Why are all the socalled big mouth movie stars still here? They stated that if Trump became president they would leave this country. Makes you wonder doesn’t it? Who else would put up with them?

Could it be Trump is looked down on because all the career politicians, Democrats and Republicans, don’t like him because he is serious, not a party animal, clearheaded in the morning, not hung over, ready to go to the job?

Anthony Weiner is a fine upstanding Democrat who is just a victim of the best right wing conspiracy.

I would like to see a factory worker of 30 or 40 years get a retirement of 25 percent of our politicians’ salaries, Democrat or Republican, also health care which they are not worth. Term limits we need. True politicians will still help from the sidelines if sincere.

Hey Tea Party until you have a cause to stand there is very little you can say about the people with a cause to protest. It’s easy to stand back and criticize others who have social and racial issues if you have never experienced it. Politicians should be kicked out of office. Politicians get high salaries and benefits and have very, very few working days. They have taxed local motorists including senior citizens with a $5 surcharge on vehicle registration. We should throw all the deep state politicians in jail, they are thieves. Captain America

To the person who said Hillary wasn’t elected because the people didn’t want her, you couldn’t be more wrong. The people did want her for president, the Electoral College didn’t.

The Republicans again have abandoned the vote on their new health care bill. I thought that Donald Trump was the deal maker. He said when he becomes president he alone will pull everyone together and make the deals. It has now been eight months Donald and you have not made one deal yet. It seems you cannot bully people in Washington like in the real estate business. DP

I’d like to send a huge thank you to the OJR High School Marching Band for their absolutely amazing performance at our football game last Friday night. I hate to admit that I normally don’t pay attention to the bands but they grabbed my attention right from the beginning and I thoroughly enjoyed the routines and music. You can tell those students truly love what they do and they do it well. You made this old time football fan a marching fan. Perk Valley Fan
