Dorothy Jane Barndt Evans: Born August 9, 1937. Parents E. Paul Barndt and Anna Blank Barndt. Brothers: Carl, Linford, Samuel, Harvey (all deceased). Sisters: Arlene Smith (deceased), Catherine Hangey, Helen Kratz, Martha Pizza (deceased). Attended Little Zions Lutheran Church, Telford. Graduate of Souderton High School, Class of 1955. Graduated Hairdresse­r School 1956. Married Everett E. Evans September 29, 1957, Married 42 years. Resided in Limerick Township. Five children: Karen Evans Wilson, Kevin E. Evans (Lynn), Susan Evans Marsteller (Dan), John E. Evans (deceased). Eight grandchild­ren: Justin Wilson, Amanda Marsteller, Callie Evans, Sarah Nash, Andrew Marsteller, Kady Evans, Adam Marsteller, Jonita Wilson. Three greatgrand­children: Tadgh Wilson, Sojourn Wilson, Isla Rose Nash.

Mrs. Evans faithfully attended and was a Sunday School Teacher and Volunteer at Trinity Evangelica­l Congregati­onal Church, Royersford, also volunteer with numerous community organizati­ons including Limerick Firehouse Ladies Auxiliary and Meals on Wheels. Member of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Evans assisted her husband on the family farm and as an escort for the Perkiomen Tours, Pennsburg. A member of the Christian Motorcycle Club.

Mrs. Evans enjoyed gardening, baking, and caring for her family on the farm. A faithful wife and caring mother, a gentle spirit full of love for others. Pleasant memories include caring for her farm cats, hairdresse­r for family and friends, baking AP cakes, “Funny Cakes,”scrumptiou­s apple pies, homemade iced tea. Family camping, holiday dinners at the farm, band parent with Spring Ford High School, motorcycle and snowmobile trips with her husband. Trips to Hawaii, Alaska, and Papua New Guinea. She enjoyed traveling and loved to come home to the farm. A favorite song, “In the Garden.”She shared her hospitalit­y with all.

Relatives and friend are invited to attend her memorial service on Tuesday evening at 7:30pm at the Trinity Lighthouse Church, 66 S. Limerick Road Limerick, PA 19468. Visitation will be held at the church Tuesday from 6:30pm to 7:30pm. Burial will be private in the Limerick Garden of Memories.
