Aniya Hoskins scored four times to lead the Pottstown girls soccer team to a 4-1 non-conference win against Coatesvill­e on Saturday.

Ariel Hill, Ebony Reddick and Kalyss Agosto came up with assists while Emme Wolfel made 13 saves.

Autumn Gahman, Liz Fox and Kaylie Siwy each had goals and assists, with Hope Flack and Bella Carpenter adding solo tallies. AiYi Young and Morgan Fiorito both got credit for assists, and Carly Eidle needed to make stops on just two shots she faced in goal to secure the shutout for UP (12-1). POTTSTOWN 1, BRANDYWINE HEIGHTS 1 » The Trojans and Bullets played to a non-conference tie.

Onjelay Nixon came up with Pottstown’s lone goal while Lilliam Stirk made 13 saves in the cage. Hannah Moser scored for Brandywine.

Girls volleyball

The Golden Panthers rallied from an early deficit, only to fall short of Merion Mercy in Friday’s non-league match. PJP’s wins came in the first and fourth sets (25-14, 25-20) while MM took the second and third (25-17, 2519) prior to a clinching 1513 verdict in the deciding fifth set.

Mary Kate Mooney had 17 kills and 23 digs for the Panthers, who got other key kill outings from Mikaela Monroe (12), Caitlin Gilinger ahd Julia Durand (both five).
