Marian Rose Garber, 80, of Lower Pottsgrove

Marian Rose (Gaydos) Garber, 80, of Lower Pottsgrove, passed away Monday March 5, 2018 at Seasons Hospice, Phoenixville.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Rose (Samatovich) Gaydos.

Marian was a retired elementary school teacher and former member of the Pottsgrove School Board. She was a member of the sewing circle at St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in Chester Springs, the Pottsgrove Teacher’s Book Club, and the Pottsgrove Retiree’s Breakfast Club.

Surviving are two daughters Kimberly Mack wife of John of Douglassville, and Alison Prosock wife of Bill of Pottstown; one granddaughter Morgan Mack of Douglassville; two sisters Eleanor Wagner, and Andrea Foell; and several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Monday March 12, 2018 at 10:30 AM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Ltd., 329 N. Lewis Rd., Royersford. Interment will be private. Visitation will be held Sunday March 11, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 PM and Monday from 9:30-10:15 AM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Marian’s memory to the Montgomery County SPCA, 1059 Sweisford Rd., Perkiomenville, PA 18074 or to Season’s Hospice, 140 Nutt Rd., Phoenixville, PA 19460.
