Monthly Meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 15, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 548 Old Swede Road, Douglassvi­lle. The topic is CPR training with Douglass (Berks) Police Department, informatio­n about the community and the April 21 Shredding Event.

BOYERTOWN » A free Alzheimer’s Associatio­n Support Group meeting will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 15, at Chestnut Knoll Personal Care and Memory Care, 120 W. 5th St., to learn more about caring for your senior loved ones living with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease. This month’s meeting will focus on the “RAISE Family Caregivers Act” presented by Gina Cooke, the director of Diakon Adult Day Services at Manatawny Manor. She will discuss the new law, which requires the secretary of Health and Human Services to develop, maintain and update a strategy to recognize and support family caregivers. The goals of the strategy include respite options, ways to increase financial security, workplace policies and more. RAISE stands for Recognize, Assist, Include, Support and Engage. BOYERTOWN » A Lifelong Learning Program, “Making Your Money Last,” by Bonnie Thompson, Edward Jones will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. on Monday, March 12, at The Center at Spring Street, a program of Boyertown Area Multi-Service, 200 W. Spring St. They will discuss ways to help you work toward fulfilling your retirement expectatio­ns and focusing on how to provide for your income needs, including your retirement income for the future. This event is free and open to adults age 55-years and older. Walk-ins are welcome.
