St. Aloy­sius Parish School stu­dents cel­e­brate Her­itage Day

LOWER POTTS­GROVE » Stu­dents at St. Aloy­sius Parish School were cel­e­brat­ing di­ver­sity Wed­nes­day with their an­nual her­itage cel­e­bra­tion.

Stu­dents at the school spent time re­search­ing their own her­itages and learn­ing about their ge­neal­ogy. With the help of their fam­i­lies, stu­dents learned about var­i­ous cul­tures and came to school ready to dis­cuss their own. Many stu­dents dressed in at­tire that rep­re­sented their her­itage and took part in teach­ing other stu­dents about it.

The day cul­mi­nated with a buf­fet for lunch that fea­tured food from dif­fer­ent cul­tures as well as per­for­mances of var­i­ous dances and songs by stu­dents.

Mid­dle school stu­dents at St. Aloy­sius Parish School were all smiles Wed­nes­day as they en­joyed a buf­fet of foods from dif­fer­ent cul­tures for lunch to cel­e­brate Her­itage Day.

Stu­dents en­joyed danc­ing the Polka Wed­nes­day for other stu­dents in the school as they cel­e­brated Her­itage Day. Stu­dents were per­mit­ted to dress in at­tire rep­re­sent­ing their per­sonal her­itages af­ter re­search­ing their ge­neal­ogy.
