Awareness Festival on Saturday, May 19, rain or shine, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at South Elementary School, 200 E. Third Ave. Yard sale items and food will sold during the festival, and some of the proceeds will benefit local animal rescue organizati­ons — many of whom will be at the event with animals up for adoption. The Builder’s Club is still accepting yard sale item donations, which can be dropped off at East, 100 Kagey Road, Collegevil­le, by May 18, or dropped off at the event at South Elementary School on Saturday before 8 a.m. Please contact leskin@pvsd. org for more informatio­n.

The expert panel includes: Dale Derr, the director of Berks County Department of Veterans Affairs; Linda Detwiler, the director of Chestnut Knoll At Home Services; and Jodie Daniels, the assistant executive director of Chestnut Knoll and certified senior advisor.
