Ann M. Haas, 85, of Pottstown

Ann M. (Lebid) Haas, 85, of Pottstown, wife of the late John F. Haas, passed away Tuesday May 15, 2018 at Manatawny Manor.

Born in Coatesville on February 16, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Katherine (Labiak) Lebid. She was a graduate of Coatesville High School.

Ann met the love of her life at a Polka dance. Together over the next 35 years they promoted Polka music at the beautiful Sunnybrook Ballroom. She taught polka dancing to hundreds of Polka enthusiasts. They also promoted Polka cruises, and along with the Johnny Haas Polka band organized several tours to Poland.

Surviving is one daughter Rosemarie Bartchak wife of James; one son Ronald Haas husband of Terry; two grandchildren Nicholas Haas husband of Jessica, and Holly Haas; and one great grandson Owen Haas.

She is predeceased by her two sisters Sophie Lebid, and Jennie Lebid, Pacana, and her two brothers John and Michael Lebid of Coatesville.

A Funeral Mass will be held Monday May 21, 2018 at 11:00 AM at St. Columbkill Roman Catholic Church, 200 Indian Spring Rd., Boyertown, PA 19512, with Fr. Martin Kern officiating. Burial will follow at St. Aloysius New Cemetery, Pottstown. Visitation will be held Monday from 9:30-10:45 AM at the church.
