Boyertown strikes early, tops Shillington 4-1

Boyertown’s American Legion baseball team did all its scoring Wednesday in its first at-bat. That production proved sufficient to give it a 4-1 triumph over Shillington in Berks County League play.
Stephen Cisik rode the early scoring to victory, pitching 4-1/3 innings of four-hit, four-strikeout ball before A.J. Kline finished up with one-hit shutout relief. Billy Coleman (2-for-3) led the offense by collecting Boyertown’s lone RBI while Tate Yergey, Nick DiCiacco, Nolan Kline and Caleb Harrison scored runs. Odell allowed just four hits in his complete-game mound stint, striking out seven along the way. Austyn Levengood, Ethan Andresen, Jack McLaughlin, Odell, Jake Iyoob and Jack Rinehimer each collected hits to lead NorChester at the plate. PERKIOMEN POST 4, HATFIELD 2 » Justin Wornham and Bryan Pijanowski were the hitting stars for Perkiomen as it used a two-run fifth to secure its margin of victory over Hat field Tow am enc in in Bu x-Mont League play.
Wornham drove in two of Perkiomen’s runs while Bryan Pijanowski (2-for-4) added a third in the victory. Trey Livingtone, the third of four Perkiomen pitchers seeing action on the game, picked up the win after Wornham finished up with two innings of no-hit relief on the mound.

Trey Yesavage collected three hits and six RBI for Boyertown (8-2, 12-3-1), which got four hits and three RBI from Tanner McCafferty. Tre Diguglielmo chipped in with three hits and three RBI, and Sam Legerton with two hits and two RBI, to make a winner of Colin Eisenhard.
