Sports Carnival 2018 is coming to the Pottstown community Sunday.

The Pottstown Sports Carnival kicks off Sunday, July 1 at Pottstown’s Memorial Park. More than 20 organizations have united to provide a fun-tastic day of sports and recreation activities. Join the frenzy on facebook for two more days to play #snapnshare and win $50 gift certificates to various local restaurant sponsors each day.

Admission to Sports Carnival 2018 is free.

Then on Wednesday, iBall will team up with the Pottstown Rotary, Pottstown Pride Society and Pottstown Pride Basketball for the July Fourth Parade. There are still spots for boys and girls ages 10-16 to dribble their basketballs in the parade. Interested individuals should contact Team iBall.

To wrap up the 2018 campaign, team iBall will join the Pottstown GoFourth! Festival to provide basketball activities for all ages in the Run and Fun Pottstown Celebration of Basketball. The event will take place noon to 5 p.m. at Memorial Park. Everything is free, and it is open to the public.

At 4 p.m., the biggest game of knockout — an exciting affair that will surely live up to all of the hype surrounding it — ever seen in the Pottstown area will be played.

The activities come after last weekend’s 2018 iBall United Community Initiatives. Ed Pinckney, Jeff Sparrow and Julio Morillo were on hand displaying their basketball expertise at the iBall Coaches Clinic, and the youth and men’s combine participants were excellent.

Through entry fees and concessions, $1,110 will be donated in support of the efforts of A3 Hoops to raise funds and awareness forthe Philly Coaches vs. Cancer campaign.
