Ministry’s House of Restoration hosts first graduation

-

POTTSTOWN >> The board of directors of Harris Family Ministries Inc. has announced that The House of Restoration, a division of Harris Family Ministries, will be holding its first graduation on Saturday, Oct. 13, at 3:30 p.m. at New Life Assembly of God, 902 N. Evans St.

Valerie W., the program’s first graduate came to House of Restoration from Teen Challenge and has flourished very well in the program. She has a strong desire to turn her life around for Christ and has grown immensely in her Christian walk and has reached the point that she has met the requirements for graduation.

It is not too easy to meet the requirements because from the very early planning stage, the program has declared in the name of Jesus that there will be no recidivism once a woman graduates from the program.

The House of Restoration is an addiction recovery program located in Stowe for women recovering from addiction and their children. The program’s desire is that the children never get into the addiction lifestyle.

Many women suffer with addiction and want to get out but they don’t have anyone to care for their children long term. Depending what stage of recovery the mother is in when she comes into the program determines how long she will need someone to care for her children. If all goes as planned, the longest amount of time would be 90 days.

Rev. Harris says the doors officially opened November 2015 but Valerie is the first to complete the program.

The public is invited to the graduation program.
