Robert Ward Lynyak, 40, passed away at his home in Pottstown, PA, on Thursday, October 4, 2018, surrounded by his loving family after a courageous two-year battle with glioblasto­ma. He was the husband of Nicole (Bordner) Lynyak, with whom he shared almost 15 years of marriage.

Born in Summit, NJ, on December 15, 1977, Robert was the son of Robert M. Lynyak, Chatham, MA, and the late Barbara (Bamford) Lynyak.

Robert was a Certified Financial Planner and worked as a financial advisor for Prudential for the past six years, where he truly cared about his clients and enjoyed helping them with investment and insurance needs. He previously worked for Vanguard, ING, Summit Bank, and Chubb.

Robert was a graduate of Eagle Hill School and Albright College, where he majored in history and played lacrosse.

Robert was an avid Jets and Yankees fan, but he always cheered on the local Philadelph­ia teams as well. He enjoyed football, golf, card games, and movies, especially superhero movies with his kids. Rob loved to travel and show his children new countries, cultures, and foods. He traveled with his family to Hawaii, Mexico, France, Germany, Austria, and Ireland.

In addition to his wife and father, he is survived by two children, Andrew and Kathryn Lynyak; a brother, Kevin Lynyak, husband of Brooke, New York City, NY; a sister, Stephanie Needham, wife of George, Wenham, MA; in-laws, Brian and Sherry Bordner, Strausstow­n, PA; and his beloved Goldendood­le, Max. He was predecease­d by his equally beloved Golden Retriever, Brit.

A Life Celebratio­n will take place on Friday, October 26, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Manatawny Still Works, 320 Circle of Progress Dr., #104, Pottstown, PA 19464. A visitation will take place on Saturday, October 27, 2018 from 9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at Saint Aloysius Church, 223 Beech St., Pottstown, PA 19464. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be private and held at the convenienc­e of the family.
