Take a look at what friends and neighbors are saying about local hot topics and join in on the conversation.

In Wednesday’s Sound Off was a comment by Anonymous. My thoughts precisely although I personally would like to see a signature line requirement to make it easier for who to read and who to ignore.

According to Trump he has no financial interest in Saudi Arabia but in 1991 he sold his yacht to the prince, in 2001 he sold the whole 45th floor of Trump Tower to Saudi Arabia, in August 2015 he sold 40 to 50 apartments to them, in 2017 Saudi lobbyists spent $270,000 at Trump Tower in D.C. hotel. Tell me some more lies Donald.

I see Jay Miller drank the Democratic Kool-Aid. He thinks that Medicare and Social Security are going to get cut by the Republicans. I doubt that very much. I am not concerned at all and I am a senior citizen collecting Social Security and Medicare.

Stormy Daniels has to pay all Trump’s legal fees. Federal judge threw out her case. The ruling prompted a number of people to point out that the money the leftists sent to bring down Trump has gone back to Trump. Stormy Daniels has to pay all Trump’s legal fees and all the resistance people who donated to her GoFundMe now are paying Trump. I’m crying with laughter.

President Trump, did you forget that the perpetrators of 9/11 weren’t from Iraq, they weren’t from Iran, they weren’t from Afghanistan? They were from Saudi Arabia. Did you forget that Mr. Trump or didn’t you even know that? You ought to think about it King Donald.

I can’t believe the number of people who are gullible. I’ve almost always been able to tell if a person is a decent person or a liar and a phony. I realize that not everyone has this gift especially you Trump supporters. I’m even getting better at it. It took me two days to figure out Trump but only 30 minutes to figure out Kavanaugh.

The Republicans blew a $2 trillion hole into the deficit with their tax cuts for the rich. Now they’re sounding the alarm bells about how big the deficit is. Their solution is gutting Medicare and Social Security so the rich can keep their tax cut.

Great job President Trump with rounding up MS-13 gang members. My only recommendation is that we send them all to Gitmo. Why let them recruit the small-time thugs already in prison? Oh by the way, there are another 1,600 heading our way from Honduras, of course asylum seekers. Keep up the good work.

When President Obama left office on Jan. 20, 2017, the Dow closed at 19,827. When he entered the office on Jan. 20, 2009, the Dow closed at 7,949. In other words in President Obama’s eight years in office the Dow went up roughly 250 percent. The stock market has only risen 1 percent this year. Just some facts.

I do not know Thomas Hylton but read his advertorials regularly. He presents more concise information on a variety of issues about our region than available anywhere else. He is a valuable asset to public information. Unlike many of the contributors to Sound Off Mr. Hylton uses facts. Opinions are nice, but too many of them have no facts to make their assertions.

Marc Thiessen and others continue to rant about the treatment of Brett Kavanaugh. What short memories they have to not be outraged over the treatment of President Obama’s nominee, Merrick Garland. He suffered the abuse of silence for 400 days when Republican senators would not even meet with him let alone have a confirmation hearing. The president and Lindsey Graham accused Democrats of stall tactics. Really, what do you call 400 days?

It’s amazing how Donald Trump keeps downplaying the murder of Khashoggi just because of all his business dealings with the Saudis. Even Fox News doesn’t want to talk about the incident because it makes their president look bad. So we’ll continue to push aside all that is right and moral and talk up Khashoggi’s murder as collateral damage just to keep that money coming in because after all as the Republicans always say it’s the economy that matters right?

Responding to the Redneck Republican, let me get this straight. You’re blaming the Republicans for the Democrat mob rule just because their girl lost an honest election? Just wondering.

Trump’s taking credit for the rise in the stock market and his subsequent blaming of the recent fall on the Federal Reserve both demonstrate his complete ignorance of how financial markets operate. How very sad.

Can anybody tell me how you can get rid of getting all these calls all day long from different people for all kinds of things that don’t even amount to anything? It is very discouraging.
