I take my hat off to the women that were running for office. More of them won the way I understand. They certainly can’t do any worse than the men because the men have the whole world screwed up with all their craziness and stuff so like I said they can’t do any worse. I’m glad the ladies won because it’s dominated by men and that shouldn’t be.

If you’re all in favor of the caravan coming up from South America then you need to sign up to be a sponsor for that person. Everybody who’s in favor of that they can all be sponsors and that way if that person can’t make his way you’re responsible to pay up and do what is needed for that person. So if you want to have illegal immigration that’s a different story but most immigrants are sponsored.

According to Jay Miller, six Americans won the Nobel Peace Prize this year, all of whom are immigrants. What he fails to inform you is that they are all legal immigrants who did not sneak into our country illegally. The whole truth and nothing but the truth.

Mr. Jim Fitch, you fell from the second rung of your ladder? It’s a good thing you didn’t have the ladder upside down. A little jocularity here I hope. —Sanatoga Sam

If any of our Founding Fathers were as pompous as Mr. Trump, today we would be drinking tea in the morning instead of coffee, taking the Tube to work not the subway and using the lift not the elevator to get to our office. We don’t have to say “God Save the Queen” but please shut up the king. —Rofo D.

First time voter for West Pottsgrove municipality building, did they not believe in turning on the outside lights for where the sidewalk meets the parking lot? Voting in the dark is an experience.

Blue wave huh? Well you know losing seats in the midterm for a sitting president is fairly normal. Clinton lost 56, Obama lost 69, Trump lost 27. Maybe he’ll get a chance to appoint another Supreme Court nominee because he did win a couple seats in the Senate by the way. I guess the Kavanaugh debacle backfired on the leftists.

Thank God the blue wave came on Nov. 6. With Democrats now holding the House maybe things can be addressed. Health care, immigration and infrastructure will be a great start. Remember elections have consequences. There might even be a few investigations along the way. —Lefty

Jim Fitch, you make fun of the people in the caravan. Think how blessed you are that you’re not one of them.

I recently heard that there was an ingredient in McDonald’s french fries that not only inhibits hair loss but actually stimulates hair growth. I find this to be false advertising. For the last six weeks I’ve been rubbing those french fries on my bald spot and noticed no difference. I saw that when Scott Wagner called Gov. Wolf to congratulate him on his victory he asked him to do something for the people especially the seniors about property tax. That was nice of him to do that especially since a lot of us know that it doesn’t seem to be on Gov. Wolf’s radar to do anything about property taxes. So the people have spoken, they voted for Gov. Wolf again. I didn’t but we’ll see what happens this time with our property taxes. —Al

I’d like to thank the guys in the Borough of Pottstown for cleaning up the storm drains all week. You’re doing a wonderful job. I do appreciate it. I know it’s overwhelming since there’s no street sweeper so thank you for what you’re doing.

A question I have about voting. When you hand the attendant your ticket and they turn on the machine why are all the lights on the left hand side lit up green on the Democrat side of the ticket? They’re lit up ahead of time before you even touch anything.

Heading into the midterm elections, Donald Trump was telling people to vote as if he was on the ticket. Looks like they did. That’s why Republicans lost the House.
