Schwenksvi­lle — A Holiday Bazaar will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. today at Heidelberg United Church of Christ, 251 Perkiomen Ave. Raffle baskets, a chance to win a 40-inch TV, handmade gifts, crafts, vendors, bake table. Lunch is available for purchase.

Coventryvi­lle UMC

Pottstown — The Thrift Shop will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at Coventryvi­lle United Methodist Church, 1521 Old Ridge Road.

A Christmas Bazaar will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. today. Christmas shop, greenhouse, bake table, silent auction, attic treasures, thrift shop. Breakfast and hot lunch items available.

First Presbyteri­an

Pottstown — It is “Dedication Sunday” and the Cherubs will be singing. A program by Andrew Harnish, physical therapist from Fox Rehab and Chestnut Knoll, will be held after worship on reducing your risk of falling. Chestnut Knoll will be providing a light lunch. At 5:30 pm., the Jr. Seekers will enjoy some delicious tacos as they watch and discuss a variety of TED talks.

Centennial Lutheran

Kimberton — Pastor Ron Dziuk will be presiding during the 9:30 a.m. worship service on Sunday at Centennial Lutheran Church, 1330 Hares Hill Road, while Pastor Jerry Tancredi will be on vacation.

First UCC

Royersford — Stewardshi­p Sunday will be celebrated at the 11 a.m. worship service at First United Church of Christ, 367 Washington St., and new members will be welcomed. A reception will take place in the Social Hall after worship.

St. Luke’s Lutheran

Obelisk — A free Community Dinner will be offered on Thursday from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Saint Luke’s Lutheran Church, Route 73 and Neiffer Road. All are welcome.

St. James Lutheran

Limerick — Members of St. James Lutheran Church, 93 Kugler Road, will meet today to make blankets for veterans. This project is part of “Operation Valor” which distribute­s blankets to veterans at various veteran centers. Members of the church have already completed 60 blankets.

Donations of items to be given to residents at the Artman Home will be collected on Sunday. “Operation Christmas Child 2018” is being organized by the women of SOUL. Shoeboxes filled with toys or small needed items will be collected on the next two Sundays. “Operation Christmas Child” is a project of Samaritan’s Purse.

Bethel UMC

Spring City — Christmas Bazaar will be held from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. today at Bethel United Methodist Church, 952 Bethel Church Road. Crafts, attic treasures, bake table, preserves pantry, homemade soups and other great food. Everyone is welcome.

Christ Lutheran

Barto — The Blessing of the Prayer Shawls and Quilts will be held during the 9 a.m. service on Sunday at Christ Lutheran Church, 222 Niantic Road. Confirmati­on will be held at 9 a.m. in room I. Immediatel­y following the worship service, the semi-annual Congregati­onal Meeting will be held to vote on the 2019 Council, approve the 2019 Budget as well as vote on the service time change. Voting members, please plan on attending to cast your vote.

Members will join Calvary UCC members as well as Bally Mennonite and the surroundin­g community for a Keystone-Miller Blood Drive on Thursday from 2:30 to 7:30 p.m.

St. Luke Lutheran

Gilbertsvi­lle — Veterans Day will be observed during the 9:30 a.m. service on Sunday at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 35 Wilson Ave. Communion will be celebrated. St. John’s UCC

Pottstown — The congregati­on of St. John’s United Church of Christ will be collecting stuffing for the annual Holiday Baskets provided by the Cluster and also continue collecting items for CWS Hygiene Kits that are sent to our country’s areas in need.

Shepherd of the Hills

Bechtelsvi­lle — Nonperisha­ble food items are being collected for Scouting for Food and the Salvation Army throughout the next week at Shepherd of the Hills Church, 527 Hoffmansvi­lle Road.

St. Paul’s UCC

Pottstown — An AllYou-Can-Eat Pancake Breakfast will be held from 8 to 11 a.m. on Sunday at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, 927 N. Franklin St. Breakfast includes pancakes, eggs, sausage, beverage, and homemade desserts. Tickets are $6 for adults; $3.50 for ages 6 to 12; and kids age 5 and under are free.

St. Peter’s Lutheran

Pottstown — Stewardshi­p Sunday will be observed with Worship Services at 8 and 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 564 Glasgow St. The four-week Stewardshi­p program concludes today after presenting a different topic each week encouragin­g members to join one another in presenting their 2019 commitment­s of giving in support of the ministry and mission to our church. Worshipper­s will have the opportunit­y to complete and return their commitment cards at both worship services.

Scrip cards purchased last week may be picked up after either worship service.

The Lutheran Church Women request that all food items for the Vegetable Soup be dropped off this Sunday. The soup will be prepared and cooked on Friday, Nov. 16, and sold at the Annual Church Bazaar on Saturday for $4 per pint and $8 per quart.

Zion’s UCC

Pottstown — Kim Adamson will return as guest minister at Zion’s United Church of Christ, Hanover and Chestnut streets. at the 10:15 a.m. worship service on Sunday. Offering piano solos are by Isa Bartolini, prelude, and Chase Bartolini, offertory. Laura Clattenbur­g will offer a vocal solo.

Each year Zion’s generously adds to the Holiday Food Boxes for the Cluster. This year the church will donate 200 cans of cranberry sauce. A box is in the Sunday School lobby.

The congregati­on will host the Homeless Shelter for the month of January. A sign-up sheet is now in the Sunday School lobby.

First Baptist

Pottstown — Toys and gravy are being collected for the Cluster’s Christmas Toy Drive and Christmas Holiday Food Baskets.

The new hymnals, “Renew”, can be dedicated to loved ones for $10. A dedication label will be placed in one of the hymnals in honor or in memory of the person you select.

A Christmas concert is being planned to thank Pottstown for their support over the last few years.

Brownback’s UCC

Spring City — All are invited to the Annual Holiday Bazaar from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. today at Brownback’s United Church of Christ, 640 Ridge Road. In addition to the attic treasures, there will be a craft table, basket raffle, and baked goods table. Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Isabella Rose Lewis will be welcomed into the church family through baptism during the 10 a.m. worship service on Sunday. All are welcome to remain after the service for Social Hour in Fellowship Hall, hosted by the Kitchen Committee.

St. Mary’s RCC

Schwenksvi­lle — The Saint Mary Christmas Craft Show and Bazaar will be held on Friday, Nov. 16, from 5 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 17 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. featuring over 60 unique crafters in both the Parish Hall and Saint Mary School, 40 Spring Mount Road. There will be musical entertainm­ent, homemade soup, chili, pulled pork, pirogies, kielbasa sandwiches, golumpki, hot dogs, walking tacos, pizza, candy, raffle baskets filled with goodies, pictures with Santa and so much more. Take a chance at winning the 50/50 or one of over 50 beautiful raffle baskets on display.

Trinity UCC

Pottstown — A time of fellowship will follow the 10 a.m. service on Sunday at Trinity United Church of Christ, 60 N. Hanover St. Visitors are expected.
