Police investigate armed robbery in Cumru
CUMRU TOWNSHIP >> Police are investigating after an armed robbery was reported on Fawn Drive.
Police said on Wednesday Nov. 7, at approximately 3:40 p.m., Cumru Township Police were dispatched to the 00 block of Fawn Drive in Cumru Township for an armed robbery which had just occurred.
The victim arrived at his residence at approximately 3:30 p.m. and upon arrival, observed a dark blue or grey newer model Dodge Dart parked in his driveway. It quickly became apparent to the victim he was interrupting a burglary of his home, police said.
The victim picked up an ax and approached the suspect’s Dodge Dart and was immediately confronted by a suspect sitting in the driver’s seat of the vehicle. The suspect was a Hispanic female, with an approximate age range of late teens to early twenties, with dark hair and a round face. The female suspect pointed a handgun at the victim and told him to walk away. The victim’s children were inside his vehicle and he complied with the female suspect’s command, according to authorities.
Subsequently, two other suspects exited the residence, entered the Dodge Dart, and fled the area, last seen traveling east on Pheasant Drive.
A second female suspect was described with an approximate age range of late teens to early twenties, dark hair, thin build, wearing dark sweatpants and hooded sweatshirt. The third suspect was described as a light skinned black or Hispanic male, approximately 5 feet, 10 inches tall with a thin build, and an approximate age of early twenties. The male was wearing dark sweatpants, dark hooded sweatshirt, and dark knit hat with grey pom pom on top.
The suspects stole multiple handguns, a quantity of jewelry, luxury watches, and an undisclosed amount of cash.
