SHOP WITH A COP
‘No-shave November’ raises money to help 37 Pottstown kids
Sometimes it pays to be scruffy. For all of the month of November, members of the Pottstown Police Officers’ Association left the razor on the counter. And it paid off, literally. “No-Shave November” was a way to raise money so they could help out 37 of Pottstown’s most deserving children as part of a Shop With a Cop event.
It was held Saturday, Dec. 1, at the Pottstown Wal-Mart and the officers volunteered on their own time to take the children shopping for the holidays.
“We had a great time shopping with everyone and were happy to help provide some early Christmas presents,” the officers’ association members posted on the Pottstown Police Facebook Page.
“A big thank you to the employees of Wal-Mart who helped us with this event. We can’t wait to do it again next year!”
