The Boyertown Lions Club will hold its dinner meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 15, at the Friendship Hook and Ladder Co., South Reading Avenue. This is Trivia night led by Karl Stauffer.

A Transit Developmen­t Plan (TDP) for Pottstown is being developed by Pottstown Area Rapid Transit and the Borough of Pottstown. The TDP will include strategies and recommenda­tions for the future of public transporta­tion within the borough. Public involvemen­t is critical to ensure the plan meets the needs of all residents.

There will be two OpenHouse Public Input Sessions held at the Pottstown Regional Library, 500 E. High St. on Tuesday, Jan. 22, at 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. AND from 5 to 7 p.m. (drop-ins welcome). Accessible by PART buses via the High Street route, South End Loop, and East End Loop, and via paratransi­t for persons with disabiliti­es.

There is also an Online Survey available at PottstownT­DP.metroquest.com open Jan. 22 to Feb. 28. This quick online survey requires 10 minutes to complete and is accessible from both desktop and mobile devices.

The January program at the Pottstown Historical Society, 568 E. High St., will be presented by Shannon Shafnisky, a Kutztown University history major who recently completed an internship at the Society. The program begins at 7 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 21. Shafnisky will discuss the research paper she wrote on the transition of Pottstown from a heavyindus­try economy to the current post-industrial 21st Century. Shannon is studying under Dr. Patricia Derr, professor of history at Kutztown University and member of the Pottstown Historical Society Board of Directors. Open to the public; light refreshmen­ts will be served.
