Stanley Sitko (Dziadzia), age 95, of Lower Pottsgrove Township passed away on Thursday February 7, 2019 in Pottstown Hospital-Tower Health.

Born in Pottstown on his family farm, Stanley was the son of the late Francis Sitko and Lucia (Quarta) Sitko and a life long resident of Lower Pottsgrove.

Stanley and Mary Ann Kruczek were married August 1946, and were married 63 years until her death in 2009.

Stanley retired from Bethlehem Steel and was the founder of Sitko Tree Farm in Pottstown. He loved his family, country, farming, and Polish heritage.

Stanley served in World War II in the 104th Infantry regiment, and was on of the five men in Company K, affectiona­tely called the “Pottstown Kids”.

He is survived by two sons, Ronald and his wife Carolyn, Gerald and his wife Ruthann; two sisters, Eleanor and Laura; four grandchild­ren, Steven, Christophe­r, Emily, and Elizabeth, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. He was predecease­d by five brothers, John, Lewis, Joseph, Francis, and Edward, and two sisters, Nellie and Veronica.

A funeral mass will be held 11:00 a.m. on Friday February 15, 2019 at St. Teresa of Calcutta Church, 256 Swamp Pike, Schwenksvi­llle. Officiatin­g will be Father Paul C. Brandt. Burial will be in St. Aloysius New Cemetery. There will be a viewing Friday from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the church.

Contributi­ons may be made in his memory to St. Teresa of Calcutta Church at the above address.
