CLUB NEWS IN BRIEF

BOYERTOWN >> The Boyertown Lions Club will hold its dinner meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 21, at the Friendship Hook and Ladder Co., South Reading Avenue. The program will be Lion Barry Yerger speaking on collecting tabs, caps and stamps. Those interested in learning about the club are welcome.

PHOENIXVILLE >> The Kiwanis Club of Phoenixville is holding A Gift Card and Basket Bingo on Saturday, March 9, at the Covered Bridge Room of the Kimberton Fire Company. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and bingo will begin at 6:30 p.m. The cost of tickets in advance is $25. This will include 20 games of bingo and entry into the door prize drawings. Tickets purchased at the door the night of the event (if available) will cost $30. In addition, guests may purchase special bingo games. There will also be raffle baskets and a 50/50 drawing for which guests may purchase chances.

The proceeds will benefit the All-Ability Playground in Reeves Park and other children’s projects run by the Kiwanis Club, such as the summer entertainment programs held at the Children’s Plaza on Saturday mornings.

Tickets may be purchased online by going to the website at www.phoenixvillekiwanis.org and clicking on the “Buy Bingo Tickets” tab or by calling 610-246-1546 and making arrangements to pay for and receive tickets. The club anticipates selling out this event so those interested in attending should purchase tickets as soon as possible.
