Giant supports area food pantries

-

Once again Giant Food Stores has created yet another program that reaches out to the less fortunate in our communities.

Since their conception they have provided weekly food products to the local food pantries. Their yearly Fill A Bag fundraising efforts have been most successful. Project Outreach, like many other food distribution programs, has significantly benefited from their efforts. We have been able to provide additional food items to our weekly food distributions in our two Spring-Ford area pantries. Fresh meats, vegetables, fruits, baked goods, etc. are included in the food bags.

Our recipients are very appreciative and enjoy coming to the pantries.

Over the past recent weeks Giant has completed another fundraising event in which proceeds from selling of tote bags were given to local food pantries. Project Outreach was presented a check for $12,533 from our local Giant sales.

Needless to say, we are so thankful. These funds will be utilized to assist families in need in our area.

I cannot fully express how touched we are by these events. I remember in past days our pantries being very low in stock but by the grace of God we were still able to provide. Those days have passed due to support from establishments like Giant Food Stores.

Let me also say thank you to the customers of Giant who purchased the totes bag or monetarily donated. These programs could not be a success without you.

Matthew 25:40: Whatever you have done for least of these you have done for me. —Meda Maron Program Director Project Outreach
