Perk School lacrosse teams win Tri-County titles

Anne Coby hit for a game-high seven goals Wednesday, leading the Perkiomen School girls lacrosse team to a 12-7 victory over Barrack Hebrew in the Tri-County League’s championsh­ip game.

Emalee Walsh and Carley Smith chipped in with two goals apiece for Perkiomen, with Rylee Walsh completing the offense. The Walshes were credited with assists, as was Sophia Taylor.

Boys lacrosse

PERKIOMEN SCHOOL 8, BARRACK HEBREW 6 » Gavin Harrison’s hat trick keyed the Panthers as they got by Barrack Hebrew in the TriCounty League’s championsh­ip game.

Paul Schlabach (two assists) and Michael Berkhimer (one assist) each scored twice in helping Perkiomen take a 6-3 lead into the fourth quarter. Liam Brassingto­n completed Perkiomen’s scoring.

Adam Mancini chipped in with 20-save goaltendin­g for the Panthers.

Softball

GARNET VALLEY 5, METHACTON0» The Warriors’ season ended with a shutout loss in the second round of the District 1-6A playoffs.

Methacton, which finished as runner-up to Spring-Ford in the Pioneer Athletic Conference’s Final Four playoffs, was the district bracket’s ninth seed. Garnet Valley is the eighth seed. UPPER MERION 2, VILLA MARIA1» The Vikings and Villa Maria went nine innings before UM got the eventual winning run in this District 1-5A playoff game.

Moira Ryan went 3-for-4 to emerge as the Vikes’ most prolific hitter. Olivia Barr, pitching the final three innings in relief of starter Kayla Warren, got the winning decision.
