Saunders House Employees Receive the Star of Excellence for Going Above and Beyond
WYNNEWOOD, PA » On July 11, 2019, Saunders House Certified Nursing Assistant, Celine Saint Louis and Unit Coordinator, Alice Boodhansingh, received the Star of Excellence for going above and beyond the normal expectations of their job. Nominated by their peers, Celine and Alice were recognized at a reception for employees on Thursday, July 11th. This annual award is presented to one member of the nursing staff and one employee from a non-nursing department. Both recipients received a trophy, a monetary reward, and her name inscribed on the Star of Excellence Award plaque which hangs at Saunders House.
Celine, an employee at Saunders House for more nearly 23 years, was recognized for exemplifying the core values of Saunders House. “She is always kind, courteous, and respectful to everyone and goes out of her way to make the residents comfortable.” “She is one of our most valued team members on the 2nd floor. I cannot think of another member of the nursing staff on the floor that deserves this award more than her.”
Alice, has been at Saunders House for six years. She is described as an “excellent unit coordinator who quietly does her job professionally and efficiently. She takes the initiative to do what is needed without being told.” “She is quick to offer help to co-workers, residents, and visitors.”
