first-half goals carried the Rams to a division win over the Eagles in their PAC Liberty Division opener Wednesday.

Brandon Duke and Colton Pollock scored two goals apiece while Tommy Bodenschat­z and Ryan Miller rounded out the scoring. Colin Trainor, Andrew Raser, Evan Hang and Alex Krstic had assists for SF. Diego Guzman had a goal for Norristown. UPPER PERKIOMEN 5, POPE JOHN PAUL II 0 >> Cole Kendra and Bryce Lesko contribute­d to two goals each in the Indians’ one-sided win over the Golden Panthers Wednesday. Kendra had a goal and an assist while Lesko had two assists. Other UP goals were scored by David Schwab, Mason Powers, Mateo Schneidt and Joe McMichael. Blake Schwenk also had an assist. LANSDALE CATHOLIC 5, POTTSGROVE 1 >> Lansdale Catholic’s Jimmy Alff led the Crusaders offensive barrage, finding the back of the net twice on Tuesday night.

Evan Senour, Declan Mahoney, and Eric Fernandez also netted goals for Lansdale in the win. Mike Troutman scored the single goal for the Falcons. DANIEL BOONE 3, GARDEN SPOT 0 >> The Blazers rode balanced scoring to a nonleague victory over the Spartans Tuesday.

Daniel Salguero, Logan Krause and Aden Slifer each scored for Boone (2-1).

Field Hockey

SPRING-FORD 12, NORRISTOWN 0 >> The Rams scored six in each half in a PAC Liberty rout of the Eagles Wednesday.

Abbey Boyer, Alyssa Mozi, Alexis Collins and Alysia Collins had two goals and an assist each to propel Spring-Ford. Kate Crist had a goal and two assists while Caroline Snyder tallied twice. Other goals were scored by Mackenna Maloney and Emma Friend. WILSON 7, UPPER PERKIOMEN 1>> Upper Perk fell to the Bulldogs in a six-goal loss on Tuesday. Cary Eidle recorded 18 saves in goal for Upper Perk.

Colleen Crenti was assisted by Luci Carpenter for UP’s lone goal.

Boys cross country

PERKIOMEN VALLEY 19, OWEN J. ROBERTS 37 >> Tyler Clifford led a 1-2-3 finish for the Vikings in Wednesday’s PAC Liberty Division race with the Wildcats.

Clifford covered his home course in 17:10, followed by teammates Dylan Danowski and Ethan Ribelin (both 17:16). Andrew McGonigle was OJR’s leading runner, fourth in 17:27. POTTSGROVE 19, POTTSTOWN 41 >> Brandon Henriksen claimed overall race honors for the Falcons, who scored eight of the top 10 positions Wednesday to run away with their PAC Frontier Division meet with the Trojans.

Henriksen placed first in 19:29, ahead of Pottstown’s Darius Smallwood (19:45). Simon Keen, Jaden Smith and Daniel Korman went 3-4-5 for Pottsgrove, beating Pottstown’s Noah Patton (sixth, 21:13). BLAZERS GO 3-0 >> Daniel Boone swept Tuesday’s four-school Berks Conference meet against Hamburg, Kutztown and Wyomissing. The Blazers won 20-40 against the Hawks, 23-34 against the Cougars and 27-29 against the Spartans.

Alex Pingitore gave Boone second place overall, covering the course in 18:18. cory MIller was sixth in 19:17, and Riley Houck 17th in 19:23.

Girls cross country

PERKIOMEN VALLEY 21, OWEN J. ROBERTS 34 >> Summer Watts clocked the race’s lone sub-20 finish Wednesday, leading the Vikings to victory over the Wildcats in PAC Liberty Division competitio­n.

Watts covered her home course in 19:53, heading Roberts’ Claire Zubey (20:08). Delaney O’Sullivan (20:50) and Megan Furlong (21:31) went 3-4 for PV ahead of OJR’s Hannah Kopec (21:31). POTTSGROVE VS. POTTSTOWN >> With neither team able to place five runners due to low numbers, a trio of Falcons shared first-place honors against the Trojans.

Naomi Hillen, Calista Faust and Noelle Barone were all clocked at 30:31 for Pottsgrove, with Pottstown’s Ariana Torres a distant fourth (32:55). Riley McLaughlin placed fifth in 33:33 for the Falcons ahead of the Trojans’ Anabelle Poston and Destiny Torres. BLAZERS SWEEP >> Daniel Boone went 3-0 in Tuesday’s Berks Conference meet that included Hamburg, Kutztown and Wyomissing. The Blazers won 18-45 against the Hawks, 23-36 against the Cougars and 23-32 against the Spartans.

Ashley Benoit was Boone’s top runner, second overall in 22:16 behind Wyomissing’s Grace Kuhn (21:42). Hannah Santos came in fourth (22:30), Sierra Rivera sixth (22:18) and Olivia Poore 10th (24:07).

Boys golf

SPRING-FORD 194, POPE JOHN PAUL II 204 >> Nate Pierce went even-par at Turtle Creek Wednesday, heading the Rams in their PAC match with the Golden Panthers.

Pierce shot a 36 ahead of teammate Ton Dougherty, whose 38 matched PJP’s Paul Brady. Noah Kim checked in with a 39 for Spring-Ford. PERKIOMEN VALLEY 206, UPPER PERKIOMEN 221 >> Kyle Colombo’s sub-40 round led the Vikings to victory over the Indians in Wednesday’s PAC match at Macoby Run.

Colombo’s 36 was followed by teammate Ryan Horenci (40), who matched UP leader Soren Svanson. David Fetzer checked in with a 41 for PV. OWEN J. ROBERTS 192, EXETER 211 >> Conrad Benford got low-man honors for the Wildcats Wednesday as they outshot the Eagles in a non-league match at Kimberton Golf Club.

Benford carded a 35 while teammate Victor Mominey followed at 37, matching the low score of Exeter’s Owen Wisner. Sam Diehl gave OJR the day’s other sub-40 round, a 38. DANIEL BOONE 245, EXETER 247 >> Colton Yenser’ claim to low-man honors was key to the Blazers edging the Eagles in Tuesday’s Berks Conference match at Arrowhead’s Blue Course.

Yenser had a one-underpar 54 to lead the way for Boone (6-4). Chase Ring followed at 62, Braylon Kuhn at 63 and Davis Myer at 66.

BOYERTOWN 201, PERKIOMEN VALLEY 225 >> Tori Bruno’s round of 44 got her lowscore honors while leading the Bears past the Vikings in Wednesday’s PAC action.

Larissa Sontingo was PV’s leader with a 49. POTTSGROVE 7, POTTSTOWN 0>> The Falcons swept their crosstown matchup Wednesday with straight set singles wins from Mya Krueger, Grace Myers and Jaelyn Kennedy. METHACTON 7, UPPER PERKIOMEN 0 >> The Warriors won all matches in straight sets on the way to sweeping their PAC duel with the Indians.

Irene Biju had the best individual effort for Methacton, going 6-0, 6-0 at second singles. SPRING-FORD 7, BOYERTOWN 0>> Riley Burks and the doubles team of Lana Hang/ Breanna Weigelt had the best individual efforts for the Rams in their PAC sweep of the Bears.

Burke was a 6-0, 6-0 winnner at fourth doubles, as was the Hang/Weigelt tandem at second doubles. POPE JOHN PAUL II 7, NORRISTOWN 0 >> The Golden Panthers dropped just one game in singles play as they swept the Eagles in PAC action.

Veronica Marinari and Tess Crossan both went 6-0, 6-0 at first and third singles for PJP. Its doubles teams of Kayla Ciuba/Kelly Paris and Sydney Farnsworth/Arianna McGrory also turned in 6-0, 6-0 results. OWEN J. ROBERTS 5, PHOENIXVIL­LE 2 >> A sweep of the singles bracket made the difference for the Wildcats in their PAC match with the Phantoms.

Lien Nguyen gave Owen J. its best individual outing, a 6-0, 6-3 win at first singles.

Girls volleyball

DANIEL BOONE 3, GOV. MIFFLIN 1 >> The Blazers rebounded from an openingset loss to the Mustangs to prevail in Tuesday’s Berks Conference match. Set scores were 17-25, 25-19, 2515 and 25-21.

JJ Valentin had three kills, six digs and four aces; Maddy Armstrong five kills, two digs and three aces; and Aubrey Hunt six kills to lead Boone.
