Tribute to Veterans Car Show revs up
PHOENIXVILLE >> Freedoms Foundation Valley Forge Chapter will be presenting The Second Annual Tribute to Veterans Car Show this weekend.
The event will be held Saturday, Sept. 7, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Valley Forge Chapter, Freedoms Foundation Campus, 1601 Valley Forge Road, Phoenixville, PA 19460 Rain date is Sept. 8)
The Tribute to Veterans Car Show is free and open to the public. Food and refreshments will be available. Proceeds benefit veterans organizations, local hero citizens awards, youth scholarships and education, the Medal of Honor Grove and other charitable initiatives.
“Our veterans and military personnel serve and sacrifice so much to defend and protect our freedom and liberty, and we are honored to thank them and pay tribute to them for all that they do for America,” the Freedoms Foundation said it a press release.
The Tribute to Veterans Car Show features classic and vintage cars, imports, trucks and motorcycles competing for trophies, awards and prizes. Hundreds of cars from around the tri-state area attended last year’s show in November 2018.
This year, motorcycle awards will be given for first, second and third place and specialty prizes for cars will include: • President’s Choice • Veteran’s Choice - in memory of Army veteran and Knights of Columbus member Mr. Tony DiPietro • Club Participation • Best Modified • Best Interior • Best Paint/Wrap • Best Truck • Best Stock • Best New Gen Stock • Best New Gen Modified • Best Engine • Best Classic • Best Import/Euro • Best Rat Rod • Best Military Tribute • Most Patriotic • Best of Show In addition to display cards, the event will also feature face painting for kids, 50/50 raffles, contest giveaways, T-shirts and gift bags for the first 100 veterans.
