Lane closures planned in Limerick, Lower Pottsgrove
Lane closures are scheduled next week on eastbound Route 422, Lewis Road and Airport Road.
The closures will take place for bridge construction and pavement repair under a project to rehabilitate and improve a fivemile section of Route 422 between the Royersford/ Trappe and Sanatoga interchanges in Limerick and Lower Pottsgrove townships, Montgomery County, PennDOT announced.
Weather permitting, the work schedule is:
• Monday, September 9, through Friday, September 13, from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., the right lane and shoulder will close on eastbound Route 422 between Park Road and Township Line Road for pavement and joint repair;
• Monday, September 9, through Thursday, September 12, from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., the right lane is scheduled to close on Lewis Road between Linfield Road and Linfield Trappe Road for bridge painting;
• Monday, September 9, through Friday, September 13, from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., lane restrictions with flagging will occur on Airport Road between Lightcap Road and Commerce Court for bridge construction; and
• Friday, September 13, through Sunday, September 15, from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., left turning lane restrictions will be in place on Lewis Road between Linfield Road and Linfield Trappe Road for bridge painting.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur.
H & K Group Inc. of Skippack is the general contractor on the $18,357,718 project which is financed with 100 percent federal funds. The entire project is expected to be completed in summer 2021.
