It was a different scenario for The Hill school field hockey team Saturday, but the same result as the previous day.

In a fast-paced game, Sacred Heart found the back of the cage first for a 1-0 lead. The Hill answered nine minutes later when Maddy Orsi connected with Josephine Palde to even the score with nine minutes remaining in the first half.

Without wavering, Sacred Heart bolted down the field and tacked on a goal to bring the halftime score to 2-1. Starting the second half where they left off, Sacred Heart quickly extended its lead to 3-1.

The Hill School fought back with resilience as Logan Clouser closed the gap with two goals in the span of three minutes to tie the game at 3. The Blues defense and goalkeeper Hayley Gable shut down scoring opportunities for the remaining 14 minutes of regulation play.

Taking the momentum of two unanswered goals into overtime, the Hill’s high intensity paid off when Palde sent the game winning goal into the net after 5 minutes of extra time. HILL SCHOOL 4, ST.
