NATURAL ORNAMENTS AT NORRISTOWN FARM PARK

Sunday, Dec. 8: At 1 p.m. Whimsical and decorative, natural ornaments and decoration­s are made from natural materials, including pine cones, seeds, pods, and berries. Crafted by hand, they are environmen­tally friendly, distinctiv­e, and artistic – the ideal gift! Learn how to make owls and reindeer from pine cones, squirrels from spruce cones, and mice from milkweed and acorns. Bring a glue gun and glue sticks and a box to carry your creations home. FULL-MOON HIKE

Thursday, Dec. 12: – Join a park ranger on an early evening walk that will be illuminate­d by the full moon. Learn why the December full moon is sometimes called the “cold moon” or the “long night’s moon.” The hike will be between two and three miles. Meet in parking lot #5. Saturday, Dec. 14: The 9th Annual Valley Forge Beer & Cider Festival returns to the Greater Philadelph­ia Expo Center in Oaks, PA to spread some pre-holiday cheer on Saturday, December 14, 2019. The event, recently selected as one of the Top Beer Festivals Coming to Philly by VisitPhill­y.com , will feature an incredible variety of beers and ciders from throughout the state, across the country, and around the globe. Tickets are on sale now. Back by popular demand, the holiday-themed festival will once again host an Ugly Sweater Pageant where individual attendees or groups can compete for valuable prizes.
